This is the time for small paychecks and large memories

"Really? A blog?" yes! Why not! Initially I was hoping to continue writing on the one I made a few years back when I went to California for my year abroad, but I must have deleted it.

Anyways, Brazil! Can you believe it? Because I certainly cannot. My friend Simone and I have talked about and planned for this moment for over two years, and it's finally here! (no seriously, we started saying "Brazil Easter 2016." in January 2014) This is going to be so exciting, I will be hanging out with friends I haven't seen in years, I get to explore a little bit of South America, and get to escape the freezing Welsh climate! Yes, the weather hasn't been too bad lately, but I would choose 25°C in Rio over 10°C in Bryn Mill any day. I got to blow the dust off my sun screen bottles and grab my summer shorts from the back of my closet. I actually don't think I have ever finished packing this soon before leaving before. I am usually a very last minute kind of person.

I am currently on the coach to Heathrow airport, so I still have some time to kill. I should probably be using that time to check what terminal I have to go to, what bus I have to take when I land in Rio de Janeiro to get to the airport Simone arrives at etc, but I'll get around to that later. For now I am just waving goodbye to the lovely industrial skyline of the welsh Pearl of a city that is Port Talbot, while hoping and praying to God that my phone won't get stolen when I am in Rio. Or my wallet, or my passport. And in that order (priorities!) Xxx
